Sabre was founded in 1993 by Francis Gelb, but the roots of the renowned French cutlery brand stretch back much further. The son of a goldsmith, Gelb was immersed in French metalworking techniques from an early age, but it wasn’t until he met his wife Pascale that the pair shook up the tableware world by combining classic techniques with playful gingham patterns, which has since been joined by hundreds of colors and patterns designed to bring humor and color to every meal.
