The Six Bells is a design-led retail and hospitality company building an enduring brand across products, places, and storytelling. Our work spans home goods, editorial-style brand content, and a growing hotel platform. We are seeking a Video-First Content Lead to build and scale a high-quality social content engine that drives both brand relevance and commercial outcomes.
Role Summary
The Video-First Content Lead will own the strategy and execution of short-form content across key social channels, with primary focus on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. This role combines creative development, hands-on production, channel management, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate is both a strong storyteller and a disciplined operator who can translate brand voice into compelling, high-performing video content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Planning

Develop and manage a video-first content strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and revenue goals.

Build and maintain an integrated content calendar across retail and hospitality priorities.

Establish repeatable content formats/series that can scale efficiently over time.
Partner cross-functionally with leadership, creative, operations, and partnerships teams to translate initiatives into content.
Production & Publishing

Lead end-to-end short-form video production: concepting, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing.

Produce platform-native content for Instagram Reels and TikTok; adapt content for additional channels as needed.

Ensure all content is on-brand, visually cohesive, and aligned with editorial standards.

Write clear, distinctive, conversion-aware social copy and captions.
Audience Growth & Community

Collaborate with relevant creators, contributors, and brand partners to expand reach and engagement.

Performance Metrics:
Track and report on performance metrics, including reach, watch time, saves, shares, engagement rate, traffic, and conversion indicators.

Conduct ongoing testing (hooks, formats, posting windows, creative angles) and implement learnings into future content.
Qualifications
-
4–7 years of experience in social media, content, or digital marketing roles, with significant short-form video ownership.

Demonstrated success building and growing brand presence on Instagram and/or TikTok.

Strong portfolio showing concept-to-publish video work and measurable performance outcomes.

Proficiency in mobile-first and desktop editing workflows (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent).

Well versed in video color-grading and stabilization

Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to tone and detail.

Experience working in fast-paced, founder-led, or entrepreneurial environments preferred.

Interest in design, interiors, hospitality, and consumer brand storytelling strongly preferred.

Candidates must own or have regular access to a camera suitable for professional photo and video content creation. (i.e. DSLR, mirrorless, in-body camera stabilization or comparable profession videography set-up)
