Behind the Flame: Birch Bark + Ripe Fir Sapling Candle

This season marks the debut of The Six Bells first ever collaboration: the Cottagecore Black Folks x The Six Bells holiday candle. We worked closely with Cottagecore Black Folks founder Noemie Serieux to hone the exclusive Birch Bark + Ripe Fir Sapling scent. “We profiled several scents to find the perfect marriage of aesthetic and cozy to illuminate fall decor,” Serieux says. “These candles are the perfect blend of warm autumn nostalgia.” Here are our favorite comments from behind-the-scenes of our olfactory development:

The team kept coming back to The Birch Bark + Ripe Fir Sapling candle, scented with top notes of Bergamot, Dry Helichrysum and Fig over a base of crisp Birch Bark, Amber and Musk, punctuated with spicy-earthy touches like Chamomile, Patchouli and Cypress. We say it smells like coniferous foliage strung over a warm country hearth.
